Scooter is inspired by life, love, and the human struggle to interpret the world and our place within it. He has an uncanny ability to turn negative into positive and thoughts into action. His musical influences are eclectic, ranging from Kiss and David Bowie to Bob Dylan and Neil Young with soul, punk, and folk thrown in for a unique and arresting acoustic style.

“I use my music as a message of peace, and the Internet as a means to connect us all.” - scooter

Scooter is a self taught singer-songwriter-activist who has opened for more than 30 international acts including Dave Matthews, Nils Lofgren, Widespread Panic, and Jason Mraz. He recently completed a 19 date tour of the United States opening for Jewel in prestigious venues such as Constitution Hall in DC and The Greek Theatre in LA. Scooter launched his conceptual FIRSTROCKSTAR campaign at the Global Entertainment and Media Summit in 2002 and the story continues to grow. Scooter consistently defies the odds and obstacles of the industry by circumventing the antiquated music business model. He has released three critically acclaimed albums and now releases all his music and videos via the Internet and licensed legal P2P. Scooter has also created theme music for video games. In the year 2000, scooter raised $50K through his fan base to record an album in NYC. He believes the new music business model contains two elements: the musician and the fan. “It is that simple.”- scooter

Scooter’s lecture on the future of music “Capture Your Spirit, Keep Your Soul™” debuted in 2002 at The Berklee College of Music in Boston , and now tours colleges and universities across the country. He is a member of the NAPM (National Academy of Popular Music), the DCIA (Distributed Computing Industry Association) and is endorsed by MEIEA (Music Entertainment Industry Educators Association). Scooter’s Internet exploits have been featured in Billboard, Goldmine, Music Connection, and The Boston Herald, to name a few. He has appeared on Mountain Stage, VH-1, NBC 25, Dateline WV , and Dick Clark’s Livin’ Large.

Scooter's success is reflected in his many awards including two Telley Awards, and a Golden Web Award in 2004. He was selected as 2003's Best of the New Writers, by the Songwriters Hall of Fame, for which his song “The Usual” was placed on Volume One: Best of the Songwriters Hall of Fame compilation CD. In 2005, Scooter joined forces with Santa Monica ’s famed EZTV and released a video for his controversial song “Mother of God.” The video is a no holds barred critique on religion, politics, and war. It was shot guerilla style with handheld digital cameras in churches, mosques, and temples and utilizes war footage from the National Archives. During its release, Scooter had the unique reputation of being the *most searched* independent musician on the P2P networks. In 2005, Scooter was invited to submit written testimony to the US Senate Commerce Committee Hearing: Issues Relating to MGM v. Grokster. He was invited by United for Peace and Justice to perform at the massive peace rally and march in the Nation’s Capital on September 24, 2005.

In the last three years, Scooter recorded a new album and tripled the size of his home-building two studios for himself and his wife, artist Kelly Scudieri. Scooter is currently in pre production for his multimedia performance piece "Rattle to Rifle."  The 19 song acoustic rock show will debut in the Summer of 2008 and coincide with the release of his 16 song album of the same title.
