Ancient Rituals: ...As an independent artist, Scooter wanted his songs to remain pure; without the sequencers and digital editors used in most modern music. Yet, he wanted his album to have the same high quality production as a major label release...so he took the Do It Yourself idea one step further. Instead of releasing a CD recorded on his home studio, Scudieri put together a business plan, attracted investors from his fan base, and raised $50,000.00 in capital.
With the help of long time friend and producer, Dave Goodermuth, Scooter was able to record in some of the best studios in the world, backed by professional studio musicians. The entire album became a single statement with every song working together to achieve a cohesive musical experience. The mix shines on Scooter’s vocals and songwriting — blending acoustic and electric guitars, organ, piano, mandolin, harmonica, bass and drums. Working with limited time and money, Scooter labored for a year to craft his landmark debut. It was a dream come true. The eight song CD from Scooter Scudieri is a testament to innovation and persistence...a moment in time, preserved in music. If you'd like to purchase this cd, click here. |

This Moment Alive:
...He pays particular heed to the issues close at hand- nurturing
our children, affirming the intrinsic role that we as individuals
play in the universe and the sacred bonds of love and devotion.
He seems genuinely delighted at the reception bestowed on
him by the crowd, (something no opening act ever takes for
granted) and when he shares his mantra - “no agent,
manager, or record company” - he is able to tread that
fine line line between pride and pomposity. It is a memorable
Moment indeed.

Jewel’s soundman Robert Ryan Bull, recorded Scooter’s 35 minute opening set in front of an enthusiastic sold out crowd in Salt Lake City. Scooter’s contagious exuberance was reflected in the 228 CDs he sold in the 15 minutes between his performance and Jewel's. Always thinking ten steps ahead, Scooter created an original contract to release the album as a “cooperative music venture” with Jewel’s management. They accepted the contract and This Moment Alive was born. The dynamic uncut and unedited live album, released on March 1, 2003 has no record company involvement. Scooter owns all the rights to his music.
